ABOUSFIAN ABDELRAZIK was arrested on the recommendation of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) while on a visit to Sudan. Never charged, he was beaten and threatened during two periods of detention, which included CSIS interrogations. After his sixth year in exile, the government was finally forced by the Federal Court to allow Abdelrazik to return to Canada. This past September 24, 2009 he spoke out publicly for the first time, and we hear from his talk on this edition of the show. (17:39)

CHRISSY SWAIN is a youth from the Anishnabe First Nation of Grassy Narrows in the midst of a 1800 km journey from Grassy Narrows to Ottawa -- the 2nd Walk for Mother Earth -- to raise awareness about issues around indigenous sovereignty and self-determination. We hear an extended interview with Chrissy during her walk. (21:53)
No One Is Illegal Radio reports about the frontline struggles for justice, dignity and self-determination by migrants, refugees and indigenous peoples.
