Professor Charles Drekmeier, Emeritus, taught Political Science at Stanford University. In 1959 Professor Drekmeier and his wife, Professor Margot Drekmeier, founded Stanford's program, Social Thought and Institutions (1959 - 1983). He also was active in the anti-war movement on campus during the 1960's-1970's, particularly in the April 3rd movement.
