Professor Charles Drekmeier, Emeritus, taught Political Science at Stanford University. In 1959 Professor Drekmeier and his wife, Professor Margot Drekmeier, founded Stanford's program, Social Thought and Institutions (1959 - 1983). He also was active in the anti-war movement on campus during the 1960's-1970's, particularly in the April 3rd movement. Professor Drekmeier was kind enough to relate some fascinating and often funny stories about his work and travels.
Information about last year's April 3rd movement conference can be found at : http://www.a3m2009.org/index.html

Technical problems such as the annoying popping sound and the elimination of several minutes of the interview marred the first half of this recording.
