A North Vancouver man has died after he was shot recently when confronted by a police officer. The shooting death is currently under investigation, but it raises questions around police-involved deaths and deaths in custody. This topic was explored by a panel of international experts in Vancouver on January 21, 2010. Stark Raven Radio's Tiffany Chong interviews David MacAlister - one of the organizers of this public forum. He is a Criminology professor at Simon Fraser University and the Coordinator of BC Civil Liberties Association’s Death In Custody Project.

Sylvia Fee's brother was shot dead by police. She talks about what happened to him and her search for answers and accountability. Sylvia spoke at a forum on deaths in custody held in Vancouver in 2007.
