P.F. Sloan wrote songs such as "Eve of Destruction," "Secret Agent Man," and "Take Me for What I'm Worth." He was 1/2 of the California writing team Sloan and Barri and contributed his songwriting, musicianship and songwriting ability to groups such as The Grass Roots, Jan & Dean, The Mamas and The Papas, and The Fantastic Baggys.
P.F. Sloan was victim of the vicious business practices of the day. The fallout from legal and other pressures left him mentally and physically ill and he dropped out of the public eye for nearly two decades. Sloan is healthy and back making music again and talked with the show over the telephone.
We are thrilled to feature him on this edition of Connecting the notes.
