This episode: on a chilly 40th anniversary of "Earth Day" in Toronto, how many of us know of PetitionProject.org and the UK Telegraph story on 31,000 scientists debunking "man-made global warming" theories since 1998? Where did "Climategate" go? After the UN-IPCC launched this "crisis!" in March '07... why did the world get colder? Why are formerly evil govts, corps and banks so eager to go "green"? Who's making money off the idea of "earth" they're selling us while we pay a lot more to use it?

âThe common enemy of humanity is man. In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. All these dangers are caused by human intervention, and it is only through changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome. The real enemy then, is humanity itself."

Earth Day celebrates 40 years of education and advocacy
Even as Earth Day celebrates 40 years of education and advocacy, there are still serious threats to our planet
Vivian Song | Special to The Toronto Star | April 22, 2010
Inside the hallowed halls of academia resides a potent mix of youthful idealism, unbridled energy, and a dash of willful defiance.
Itâs where young people begin to challenge the world they live in, ask questions, and, if unsatisfied with the answers, mobilize to voice their discontent.
To master the threats of climate change we have to redefine and reorient economic growth
R. Martin Lees, Secretary General of the Club of Rome, 15th January 2010
The UN Climate Conference in Copenhagen demonstrated that the threats of catastrophic climate change are still not sufficiently perceived as real and urgent to overcome the entrenched special interests and the pressures of domestic politics. It also clearly showed that concepts, assumptions and processes which determine our policies and action are inadequate to manage the challenges of the 21st century.
