Your support is essential if the service is to continue, there are bandwidth bills to pay every month and failing disk drives to replace. Volunteers do the work, but disk drives and bandwidth are not free. We encourage you to contribute financially, even a dollar helps. Click here to donate.Welcome to the new Radio4all website! Corruption, threats, & killings are still there.
Cynthia Palmaria is co-founder of GABRIELA Ontario, and provides us with a comprehensive overview of the goings on in the time leading up to the May 10, 2010 Philippines general election. She speaks about several of the controversies during election time this time around, updates us with recent news from international election observers of the People's International Observer's Mission (many of which are Canadian), and criticizes the Gloria-Macapagal Arroyo government of occupation for heightened state repression, political killings, and other injustices during election time. Special focus is made on two progressive partylist groups running who are amongst the several partylists that have candidates that are actually not for the rich and are dedicated to combating the grinding poverty in the Philippines: GABRIELA Women's Party and Bayan Muna.
GABRIELA Ontario is a grassroots Filipina-driven feminist and anti-imperialist migrant justice organization based in Toronto.
