First of, we’ll get an update on the struggle of parents and their community allies at the Whittier School in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood to prevent the demolition of a field house on school grounds that serves as a community and student activity center.

We will also hear about an FBI raid last Friday on the home of SEIU Member, labor and peace activist Joe Isobaker. There is a rally planned to protest the harassment of Joe, his family and fellow activist in Chicago and Minneapolis, outside the FBI HQ on Monday.

Jobs with Justice’s Unemployed Workers Council continues to hound Republicans in Illinois who refuse to extend unemployment benefits or invest in job creation programs. Will hear about a rally planned for Wednesday and how you can get on the bus for the massive rally planned for Washington D.C. next weekend.

And lastly will hear about a press conference and 24 hr, vigil taking place today outside the offices of 25th Ward Alderman Danny Solis, organized by the environmental justice organization, PERRO.
