Reuel Amdur has peircing observations about fixed incomes in 2004 that shamefully still hold true in 2010. Rates have been actually falling for at least 16 years under all three party's governments, more for some than for others. Amdur points out the psychology behind rates for single parents and their children, children who can't fight back, and it isn't pretty but it is funny.
