Reflecting On Jenin ,2002 :Terrorism And Da Threat Of Inteligence - An Invisible Threat
Printing rumours not good - yet is considered by those who get air as serious moral justification 4 "Moral Equivalency" ,"Blood Libel" ,
and libel (suits brought by soldiers against a civilian artist)
What facts emerge in 20/20 hindsight nearly a decade later:
- early reports focused on death tolls - even a IDF official reporting da so-called outrageous claims of several hundred deaths
- press was banned from the area in question ,even during da critical period when IDF was removing Palestinian bodies
- 2 this day ,numbers r not clear as interpretations after-the-fact can only ,@best ,speculate - @worst fabricate
- - this is a large point 4 reflecting on da future of al journalism across civilization
- - 0) by creating story from anything but true reportage ,journalism bcomes da realm of speculation - indistiguishable from fiction
- - 1) journalism bcomes a part of propaganda machine of any state ,already amassed in a news media almost universaly seen as corrupt
- - Thus ,da element of Truth associated with Trust disintegrates - a veritable 'anti-intelligence'
- - ie on da Pal side ,1 could simply conclude (falsely) that the entire retraction of News Media on Jenin 2002 is a Conspiracy
- - ie on da side of da State ,al criticism of defence forces can be sumarily banned forthrightly ,creating a invisible threat
But let's consider da story :a pre centage (analysis varies from 7% to 9% of the city destoryed) of a city was completely destroyed
- this act was a military action ,involving tanks ,helicopter gunships ,soldiers ,and infamous IDF bulldozers
- these bulldozers r commonly used ,as were here ,2 raze civilian homes ,which is a terrorist action under da legal definition
- that ,sadly ,da biggest story here is a press embarassed by misreporting
- sad because misreporting is used 2 justify da 1 side of da story that is not da victim ,outside of terrorist action
- sad ,since da misreporting in general is so widespred in News media it is almost imposible not 2 see
- sad ,lastly ,bcause while Media is busy saving face in da face of terrorism apologetics ,da story is not represented
