As of 12/4/2016 the servers are now in their new homes, the web server in Fremont and the archive server emma in Santa Cruz. Some of the pre-2004 archive programs are not yet online but will be soon. Your support is essential if the service is to continue, there are bandwidth bills to pay every month and failing disk drives to replace. Volunteers do the work, but disk drives and bandwidth are not free. Click on this bar to contribute, even a dollar helps.

A timely look at the current corporate agenda for Latin America and Central Asia.

Broadcasters: I found this to be a very informative talk. But the material is somewhat time-sensitive, so if you plan to air this I encourage you to do so soon.

-----------------------------------

This talk explores corporate agendas and the struggles for oil and resources behind the wars on terrorism and drugs in Latin America, the Middle East, and Central Asia. It also reviews indigenous and grassroots resistance struggles against both corporate/imperialist designs as well as fundamentalism/terrorism.

Bill Weinberg is editor of the online weekly "World War 3 Report" ( http://www.worldwar3report.com ), as well as the author of _Homage to Chiapas: The New Indigenous Struggles in Mexico_, and _War on the Land: Ecology and Politics in Central America_. As a correspondent for _Native Americas_, the quarterly journal of Cornell University's American Indian Program, he has won three awards from the Native American Journalists Association for his reportage on indigenous issues from Nicaragua to Arizona. He's a reporter and former editor at _High Times_, and co-producer of "The Moorish Orthodox Radio Crusade" (Tuesdays at midnight on WBAI-NY, 99.5 FM).

-------------------------

Weinberg used several maps to illuminate his presentation. Web-listeners may be interested to examine a few maps that cover the areas discussed. The Perry-Castenada Library Map Collection at the University of Texas has an extensive online map library. Here are a few selected by your reporter:
