While waiting to speak with activist Dan Glass, part of the UK-Canada Strategies of Protest Tour, Phil takes the time to review the latest round of war propaganda, and mentions that NATO has moved their targets: Syria is next up. This time, our media beheaded a Syrian girl, re-headed her, and be-headed her again.
Is Amnesty International acting as a "blocking back" for war with Syria?
Then, our hosts are able to reach Dan Glass, the climate activist famous for his opposition towards airport expansion. He details how his lecture was stopped at the border of the "free" United States, and recounts other stories of his run-ins with state authorities.
Finally, onto Stephen Gowans, who details the lack of detail on "Ghadaffi's Oppressions." He also looks at the dearth of official scrutiny on the actions of the rebel TNC. The U.S. ambassador to Libya, meanwhile, is echoing Cecil Rhodes, who had written that imperial conquest would prevent civil war at home.
