Andrea Ritchie is a police misconduct attorney and organizer in New York City. She is the co-author, along with Joey L. Mogul and Kay Whitlock, of Queer (In)Justice: The Criminalization of LGBT People in the United States (Beacon Press 2011). Andrea explains how the justice system criminalizes queer people through stereotypes in both the media and the courts.

The interivew was taped at the 2nd International Copwatch Conference by Bethany Friesen. The conference took place in Winnipeg from July 22 to 24th 2011
