This show tributes Sonic Youth after receiving word of the hiatus and potential break-up of the band. There are four S.Y. songs in the show, plus a S.Y. cover, and a whole slew of bands influenced by them.
This marks the return of 40 Acres & A Clone Mule to A-Infos after a long hiatus. My New Year's resolution is to post a show every week during 2012. They'll either be classic shows from 2011 or before, or up to date shows referencing current events. Mostly about the intersection of music and socially-relevant sound montage.
Show lengths will be approx. 1 hr, 50 min. or approx. 2 hrs, 10 min., depending on the lead-in show when originally broadcast. FCC safe, but probably work well as late night listening. I hope some stations decide to pick it up.
All station ID's time references, local events and weather has been creatively excised.
40 Acres & A Clone Mule is a weekly music and sound montage show with a strong political bent. It is heard on KUOI-FM in Moscow, Idaho Fridays from approx. 4-6 (some weeks 3:30 - 6pm so tune in early) Pacific Time, and can be heard live on the web (www.kuoi.com).
This is the exact same content as the .ogg version.
If you like this series, make sure you're player has the proper plug-in handle ogg vorbis files. I will not be uploading many episodes in MP3 format. Besides being open source, ogg vorbis (.ogg) is has more sound quality per megabyte.
