Peter Robinson, lawyer for Radovan Karadzic, is headed to the Hague once again. Dr. Karadzic faces a number of charges, but has a different understanding of events, and is defending his record. It turns out that one witness against Karadzic has written books attacking the defendant. Robinson explains how expert witnesses are allowed to engage in polemics. He covers the other ad-hoc judicial procedures concerning international war crimes, and their uneven consequences.
The program shifts gears with Norman Otis Richmond and the new biography about recording phenomenon Little Willie John's "fast life, mysterious death, and the birth of Soul." He discusses the significance of Willie John as the first successful R&B artist, and also the poor representation he received during his murder allegations.
