Heading down to Toronto is African-American history professor, Gerald Horn, author of “Fighting in Paradise.” He presents on his new book, which follows the lesser-known history of communists and indigenous people who created the labour movement in Hawaii, operating 2000 miles from the U.S. mainland.

Next, Montreal's Robin Philpot sheds some light on a well-known but poorly-reported news story, namely the attempts of the Harper government to deport Rwandan-Canadian Leon Mugasera. We are only being told part of this caper in the news, and Philpot explains the unjust accusations and dangers at home Mugasera faces.
