Every year, approximately 200 people die crossing from Mexico into the state of Arizona. Since 2004, individuals have walked the Migrant Trail to commemorate lives lost and to raise awareness. The Migrant Trail is a 7-day, 75-mile walk through the United States and Mexico to Tucson, Arizona. Jodi Read is an activist from Tuscon who is currently studying at the University of Manitoba. She is an organizer of the Migrant Trail and active in the Migrant Workers Solidarity Network.
