From May 22-25, the NDP organized hearings across the country into the federal government's Budget Implementation Act. Jane Williams went along to the hearing in Vancouver and brings this report.

The speakers at the hearing were
Robyn Allan, independent economist;
Art Kube, president of the Council of Senior Citizens' Organizations;
Joey Hartman, president of the Vancouver and District Labour Council;
Margot Young, associate professor of Law at UBC;
Peter Prontzos, professor in the Department of Political Science at Langara College;
Max Cameron, professor at the Centre for the Study of Democratic Institutions at UBC
Rachel Tutte, co-chair of the B.C. Health Coalition.
