Chris Hedges is a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist and global war correspondent, and author of the best-selling political critique, "Death of the Liberal Class." Over the past year, Hedges has worked as an activist and organizer for the Occupy Wall Street movement. His weekly column on current affairs appears weekly at the news journalism website, truthdig.com. Truthdig recently held its first annual retreat in Santa Fe, where Hedges delivered a keynote address on America's current condition of corporate control, high finance, propaganda, permanent warfare, and the occupy movement.
