The Manitoba government is building new hydroelectricity projects on First Nations territories. The government has promised to conduct fair consultations and involve First Nations as partners. Some communities have concerns with the consultation process. The Tataskweyak Cree Nation at Split Lake has launched an awareness campaign around issues related to the proposed Keeyask dam in Northern Manitoba.
