'Out of the Woods' is a mostly acoustic program leaning heavily toward new music by contemporary singer-songwriters, folk singers, bluegrass bands, blues artists and just about any music that fits in between.
Tonight unfolded a bit differently than I had originally expected. I was hoping to have The Dillonaires in to perform live, but the band needed a night off from a hard week of travel and touring, so one third of The Dillonaires stopped in to chat and spin some CD music. Sherman Lee Dillon talked about the songs, catfishing, banjos and shape-note hymnals of questionable ownership, as well as his role in the making of the film O Brother Where Art Thou?. It was good fun, and even without live music, Sherman Lee never disappoints!
