The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit Show - A musical mid-life crisis -- a late-night search for meaning and happiness airs on WRIR LP Monday nights from 11 PM to 1 AM. Stream the show @ www.wrir.org
Hey Listeners,

Well if you've listened to my show you may know I'm somewhat fascinated by the ukulele. I think my interest began around the time George Harrison died and I read about his lifelong interest in the uke. Then I heard Jake Shimabukuro's cover of the classic George / Beatles tune and I was hooked. I gave myself a uke for my 50th birthday and I promised myself I would learn to play.

I attended a few of the local uke jam sessions in town and that is where I met Ron Gentry. Ron has organized Richmond's first annual uke fest scheduled for this weekend at the Glen Allen Cultural Arts Center. Ron and Richard Koch from the center were supposed to join me in the studio, but the storm and their good sense kept them away. However they did help me select most of tonight's music. So keep it tuned here for the uke show and get ready for ths weekend's festival.

Also I will have two sets of passes to give away as well as a uke. I'll tell you how you can win them.
