The older archives (>10 years old) have been substantially recovered -- more than 23,800 files' worth -- and are now reachable through the search engine and via file download. Email here if you have any questions.
Your support is essential if the service is to continue, there are bandwidth bills to pay every month and failing disk drives to replace. Volunteers do the work, but disk drives and bandwidth are not free. We encourage you to contribute financially, even a dollar helps. Click here to donate.

Radio Thrift Shop is a low-tech, warts-n-all, freeform celebration & exploration of music from the last century of recorded sound and music in all genres ... including 78s, reel to reels, cassettes, 8 tracks, vinyl records and even endangered cds. Each week we explore an ecclectic blend of music released between 1900 +/- and next week
One of my favorite episodes of Radio Thrift Shop to date ... featuring six versions (count them - six!) of "Nature Boy" and selections form a box set of 45s from the 1950s of the Nutcracker Suite.
