A recent report says that lawyers in Europe are drumming up business for their own firms by encouraging foreign investors to sue countries over changes in regulations. One example in the report is a lawsuit by tobacco giant Phillip Morris against Australia and Uruguay for increasing the size of warning on packs of cigarettes. Pia Eberhardt is with the Corporate Europe Observatory, which produced the report.
