Erik Gustafson, a Gulf War Vet is founder & director of EPIC which works to shift U.S. policy and public opinion in support of the Iraqi people. He joined me in a discussion on conservative KSCO AM 1080, as Bush says he'll dump the UN process.

Here's my audition for the "progressive news talk hour" on the otherwise conservative, KSCO, AM 1080. Each weekday they've been having different progressives (or as they say "lunatic left") on the air from 12 til 1 pm. I editted out the network headlines and station ids and left the interview intact, callers and all.

Erik Gustafson is a Gulf War veteran and expert on U.S. policy toward Iraq. In 1991, he spent eight months in Saudi Arabia, where his unit built buildings, roads and POW camps. Erik Gustafson has been an advocate for the Iraqi people since 1997, when he traveled to Iraq on a humanitarian mission and became a dedicated opponent of the US led economic sanctions which has killed over one million civilians. Erik Gustafson is founder and Executive Director of the Education for Peace in Iraq Center (EPIC) which works to shift U.S. policy and public opinion in support of the Iraqi people. He is also involved in initiating a campaign for an international treaty to ban depleted uranium weapons (DU) and help establish long-term studies on DU-effected civilian and veteran populations. Erik Gustafson served on the National Gulf War Resource Center board from 1998-2000. And in September 2002, he co-founded Veterans for Common Sense whose mission is to inject the perspective of war veterans into debates over war and national security. http://www.epic-usa.org http://www.veteransforcommonsense.org
