The second anniversary of the Fukushima Daichi nuclear meltdowns and detonations was commemorated with a two-day global conference at the New York Academy of Medicine. Among the speakers at the "Symposium: The Medical and Ecological Consequences of the Fukushima Nuclear Accident" were:
CINDY FOLKERS, Radiation and Health Specialist with Beyond Nuclear, who detailed "Post-Fukushima Food Monitoring"; and
Symposium convener Dr. HELEN CALDICOTT, the co-founder of Physicians for Social Responsibility, who culminated the conference with a keynote address on the hazards of nuclear power plant operations, medical consequences of radiation, and mainstream media negligence of nuclear dangers.
