Amina Sherazee is with Lawyers Against the War. She describes Bill C-18, which will change the Citizenship Act to create two classes of citizenship in Canada - one for those born here, and one for those naturalized. She also describes the purpose and function of the proposed Citizenship card.

Rocco Galati is a constitutional lawyer who has argued many cases related to right to political protest and resistance. He is currently representing three men facing the threat of deportation under the notorious "security certificates" issued by the Solicitor General and Minister of Immigration. Mahmoud Jaballah is the only person ever cleared from a security certificate; Muhammad Mahjoub has been jailed since June 2000, without charge; and Hassan Almrei has been jailed since 2001.

He opens his talk by referring to a recent issue of Time magazine, which profiled several cases of suspected "terrorists".
