Progress at radio4all! Servers are now in their new temporary homes, mbanna3 in San Francisco and the archive server emma in Santa Cruz. Your support is essential if the service is to continue, there are bandwidth bills to pay every month and failing disk drives to replace. Volunteers do the work, but disk drives and bandwidth are not free. Click on this bar to contribute, even a dollar helps.

Program for the week of April 7, 2013

On April 3, the Federal Aviation Administration held its first online forum on the use of drones and issues of privacy. It's the latest in a year that is already shaping up to be one where drones are at the center of controversy. EdTech magazine stepped into the fray April 2, with an investigation of drone research as revenue generator and area of discipline on college campuses. Walter Smolarek joins the program to discuss drones and universities, along with upcoming actions against drone deployment. On Saturday, April 13, the ANSWER Coalition and a host of organizations have called for a rally in Washington, DC to protest drone use internationally.

Chicago Public Schools have announced plans to close over 50 institutions. That's generated protests from parents, teachers and students. Many say the African-American community is being targeted. We'll learn the latest.

Finally, a federal judge issued a ruling ordering the Food and Drug Administration to lift restrictions on the Morning After Pill. We'll talk to Andrea Costello, the lead attorney representing the plaintiffs.
