Commissioned by Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz et al. in the year 2000, before any of them were in government, it is a blueprint for a system of world-wide US military dominance and intervention. The document remained secret until 2002.

This is a reading of an extraordinary document by the Project for the New American Century, no less than a blueprint for US military world rule. In order to convince the American public to support these policies, the authors say, a new Pearl Harbor would be needed to speed up the transformation of the US military into a Global Strike Force. By coincidence or design a year after the document was written the events of 9/11 became that "catalyzing event."
The poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti says in his introduction: There is a document everybody should read. Developed by the Project for the New American Century it is called: Rebuilding America's Defenses, Strategy, Forces and Resources For a New American Century.
It was commissioned by Richard Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz and others in the year 2000, before any of them were part of the current government.
The 75 page document remained secret until it was discovered last year by the Irish Sunday Herald.
Those who first read it were shocked to find that they had before them a blueprint for a new system of world-wide US military dominance and intervention.
Some of the recommendations have already become reality:
The document says that regardless of the presence of Saddam Hussein there needs to be a war against Iraq and that Iran might have to be next.
The document names the possible future enemies Iraq, Iran, North Korea, Libya and Syria. In other words a war against the Third World.
The documents includes plans to develop new biological weapons that target specific races.
The document envisions world wide command and control systems on earth and in space.
The present increase in defense spending is based to the dime on the recommendations of this paper.
The influence of this paper commissioned by people - some of whom are now in power - is reflected in the foreign policy we see today.
Ferlinghetti ends by asking "Why hasn't such a shocking document been disseminated in the mass media?" So - here is the dissemination by alternative media.
Excerpts from the document are read by San Francisco Mime Troupe founder R.G. Davis.
