An important talk by Bruce Gagnon of Global Network Against Weapons and Nuclear Power in Space (www.space4peace.org) on the history, present and future of the military uses of space.
Producer: Community Voices Initiative Uploaded by: Dave Adelson
This talk was organized by Randy Ziglar and Cris Gutierrez and sponsored by Westside Neighbors United for Peace and Justice and the Westside Greens.
Both segments should be aired if possible, as in the first, Gagnon describes his own history as a Republican faithful working to elect Nixon, a serviceman in the Air Force, and how he became radicalized while in the service. This background is very worthwhile, especially since he notes the impact on himself and other servicement of the small band of protesters who engaged in regular vigils outside the base where he was stationed.
