Joseph Stiglitz, author of "The Price of Inequality," and Paul Krugman, author of "End This Depression Now!," talk about the problems facing the U.S. economy. They explain that reducing the U.S. Government deficits slows the economy. Also why unfunded wars and cutting taxes for the rich have not produced prosperity.

Joseph Stiglitz is University Professor of International Affairs at Columbia University and a former chief economist at the World Bank. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2001. Prof. Stiglitz's books include "Globalization and Its Discontents," "Freefall," and "The Three Trillion Dollar War."

Paul Krugman, recipient of the 2008 Nobel Prize in Economics, is a professor of economics and international affairs at Princeton University and a columnist for the New York Times. His many books include, "The Return of Depression Economics and the Crisis of 2008," "The Conscience of a Liberal," and "Peddling Prosperity."
