Juniper Ridge near Port Alberni used to be protected as winter range for deer. But now Island Timberlands is building a road into the area and plans to cut the trees there. The Ancient Forest Alliance is calling for the creation of Park Acquisition Fund to protect threatened lands such as Juniper Ridge. TJ Watt is a campaigner and photographer with the Ancient Forest Alliance. He speaks with Redeye host Jane Williams.
