TransCanada Corp has proposed converting an existing natural gas pipeline into Energy East, a cross-country oil pipeline that would carry 1.1 million barrels of oil per day. The Council of Canadians is one of the groups that opposes the Energy East pipeline. Maryam Adrangi is an energy and climate campaigner with the Council of Canadians.
