OpenMedia.ca and the BC Civil Liberties Association filed a lawsuit last month saying Communications Security Establishment Canada is violating privacy rights under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. CSEC is Canadaâs version of the NSA and it collects data on all digital communication for national security purposes. Micheal Vonn is policy director at the BCCLA.
