There was the most recent prominent police murder of 13 yr old Andy Lopez in California; there is the growing rate of incarceration & caging of millions of people in US prisons; there is still Stop and Frisk and other racial profiling policies. And, thus there is the imperative to confront these policies and dismantle the practices of the discriminatory and cruel criminal justice system.
