YES! Listeners will remember the sainted name of Jim Ratts in connection with "Those Fabulous Sixties," his lush two-hour edit of every '60s earworm ever committed to recorded music, all gerrymandered together with thousands of tweaks--truly a man after my own heart. Well, he did the same distinctive treatment with xmas music, so that should give you an idea of where he's taking you tonight, hehhehheh... Part 1 is a warm china mug full of chunks of Canned Heat, Dylan Thomas, Garrison Keillor, Lord Buckley, Albert Brooks, Julie Brown, and various monsters and cartoon characters--and hell, anything is likely to pop up out of the mélange of sound in a Jim Ratts piece. Look for Part 2. Hint, hint: These shows will provide SubGenius soul-soothing background noise for those hellish holiday family get-togethers.

If you like what you hear, look in on Jim Ratts at his website http://www.runawayexpress.com/jim.html and feel free to drop him a line. Jim's happy and forthcoming about his incredible editing work, and "Those Fabulous Sixties" is available there--he can't legally sell that show or "Tommy's Christmas Surprise," but when you purchase a ceedee from his and wife Salli Ratts' excellent bluegrass band Runaway Express, he'll toss a copy in for free.
