On March 8, 2014, Indigenous land defenders and their allies gathered at Thunderbird House in WInnipeg, Manitoba to discuss strategies around resisting the TransCanada Energy East Pipeline which is proposed to transport Alberta Tar Sands Crude to points east.
IN this discussion, CKUW NEWs DIrector Michael Welch speaks with Clayton Thomas-Mueller, a prominent indigenous environmental activist and organizer about some of the challenges of defending Mother Earth in the Harper era, along with the need for solidarity across the races.
