Join us as we celebrate April 25th, the feast day of the ancient Roman god of mildew, ROBIGUS! To the Romans, mildew was a serious threat that could result in poisoned, ruined grain stores, so it made sense to put a demigod in charge of the whole process. On April 25th, they threw a festival dedicated to Robigus wherein a red puppy was sacrificed in his name as a bribe. Hell, mildew is taking over my closets, and it seemed like a good idea to toss a little personalized appeasement his way. So I pulled a blast from the mildewed past and played BSTF #17 from April 23, 1994! But back then I wasn't only celebrating Robigus Day, but also the death of Richard Nixon--reason enough for a party in itself!
With a double-barreled musical assist by Oingo Boingo, a psychedelic wonder called "Loose Lip Sync Ships" by the Hogs, the Theme from GREEN SLIME by Charles Fox...and a very, VERY surprising turn by Evil Susie at show's end, one that struck me harder than one of her skillet blows. What the FUCK. Now I'm afraid to be left alone with her...
