Outstanding explanation of current Palestinian situation. Bazian speaks of plans by Israel, US. Europe, collaborating with Egypt, Jordan, Gulf states to offer Palestinians promises of economic opportunities, a “golden cage” in exchange for independence and end to apartheid; has little faith in success ot PA-Hamas unity deal; sees PA’s serving Israel’s security interests as Oslo outcome; Palestinian outlook pessimistic now, but not long term; BDS important but not enough; AIPAC’s control of Congress needs to be challenged at local level; compares with anti-apartheid struggle.
