Nelson on "Freedom Summer." 1964: Members of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) called for students to come and join the struggle in Mississippi. Over 700 mainly-white college students answered the call. Everest, writer for Revolution and author of "Oil, Power and Empire: Iraq and the US Global Agenda" lays bare the forces behind the crisis in Iraq and digs into the dynamics at work in the country and the world. Everest has reported from Iran, Iraq, Palestine and India.
