In the Affiliates version, there is a good break point with re-intro at 27 min, 39 seconds, for stations needing to insert Station ID. 58 minute format leaves time for ID and announcements.

Even revered climate scientists like NASA's James Hansen and John Schellnhuber has questioned whether humans can survive extreme climate change. Will we go extinct along with the other species already disappearing daily?

In this week's show, Dr. Guy McPherson, formerly with the University of Arizona, makes his case that we will go extinct before 2050. Is it possible?

Psychologist and author Carolyn Baker thinks so, and counsels people how to grieve this ultimate bad news, and still go on living worthwhile lives.

The two have just released the book "Extinction
Dialogs: Living With Death in Mind".

Next week, my guests and I will attempt the counter-argument, on why humans will survive.

Leaping from such a tall building, we land in our own backyards with environmental horticulturist Kim Eierman. She tells us how to live with nature, instead of creating the "green desert" of lawn-culture.
