Tonight, seekers, comes the first fruits from the FUNHOUSE Radio Outreach Project (my F.R.O.P. agenda), and I am damned proud! Reverend Louie Louie's show project has jelled into fearsome excellence. But this more than just a wonderfully goofy and evocative radio exercise produced by the hands of an editing master--this is the long-awaited culmination of an interrupted dream from thirty frickin' years ago! As I describe it in the intro, RL² has an impressive radio pedigree, and in the day, he produced some amazing stuff, particularly the NORBLE DURNQUEST ALL-AMERICAN LIZARD SHOW (!!!). He wasn't just a star...he was a hero. And tonight, after decades spent in limbo, Norble's sprawling narrative at last has been given the courtesy of a radio reacharound. The loose ends that seemed destined to dangle in the breeze forever have been macraméed into a wondrous sonic excursion into the mind of this marvelous madman.
