Euphrates a Montreal based hip-hop crew recently released a debut album "A Bend in the River", which contains the rhymes of the Narcicyst, an Iraqi rapper. "A Bend in the River" explores and confronts many issues, struggles and ideas. Songs on the album range from a focus on the Israeli occupation of Palestine, to a rap from the perspective of an Iraqi child dying at the hands of American military action, to rhymes about being Arab/Muslim in Canada in the context of a generalized racist backlash felt by the Arab/Muslim community in Canada post 9/11. One track on the album focuses on building reconciliation between the peoples of Palestine, Jews & Arabs. This interview is with the Narcicyst & Rugged Intellect of Euphrates about their album "A Bend in the River".
