Political analyst Stephen Gowans discusses his recent article, "Puppets vs. antipuppets: Why Syria's Assad is a persona nongrata in the West while Egypt's Sisi gets $1.3 billion in U.S. military aid annually."
Gowans starts off describing the The American Sniper film as dreadful -- the politics that played out were reprehensible. They drove home the reality that it is the Chris Kyle type who are the terrorists, not the people who are defending their country from attacks.
A common definition of terrorism is that it is the unlawful use of violence for political ends and thus indicts Sisi of Egypt, the U.S., Turkey and the Gulf Monarchies, which are arming terrorists to fight Syria.
The end game is: Those rulers who serve the moneyed interest are labeled as friends of the West and are not attacked, while those rulers who serve their own countries are labeled as enemies and terrorists who must be taken out any which way.
