George Galloway, independent Member of Parliament in the United Kingdom, speaking on "What Tony Blair Doesn't Want You to Know: The Truth about the War on Iraq"
Producer: Randy Shek Uploaded by: CKLN
This stirring speech includes lots of historical detail, classical references, and fiery emotion. Excellent!
George Galloway is Member of Parliament (United Kingdom), representing Glasgow Kelvin.
He spoke in Toronto on October 19, 2003, just days before he was ousted from the Labour Party because of his opposition to the invasion and occupation of Iraq. His speaking engagement was sponsored by the Muslim Canadian Congress - Www.muslimcanadiancongress.org.
George Galloway says: On his proudest achievement in parliament since 1997: "I am proudest to have stood firmly against the new imperialism and Anglo-American aggression around the world. To have been a voice for the voiceless here in Britain, where so many have been marginalised in the fight for 'middle England', and in the canyons of depravation in the world."
Thanks to Randy Shek and Steve Kerr for their work in recording and preparing the presentation and interview.
