Moving with top scientists & religious leaders, Stuart Scott: can we save the climate in time? Or will mass die-off come? Betsy Teutsch on low-tech to help women around the world. Song "2060" by Finian Makepeace.
Interviews by Alex Smith of Radio Ecoshock
Song "2060" by Finian Makepeace
In the Affiliates version there is a good break point for station ID or announcements at 29:06.
Outside the official United Nations climate Press Conferences at Lima and Paris, we got other powerful voices, through a group I knew little about. It's called the "United Planet Faith & Science Initiative."
Is it reliable? Wait until you hear who's involved. Here are just a few of the many founding members: James Hansen, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Kerry Emmanuel, Katherine Hayhoe, Rabbi David Rosen, Swami Saraswati, Michael Mann, Reverend Sally Bingham, Michael Oppenheimer, the list goes on.
Stuart is founder and principal spokesman for the group. We ask whether China will lead the world on climate action, or will an economic depression cut emissions along with our lifestyles. Will climate wipe out crops so severely that a mass die-off occurs? Can we win this thing?
Betsy Teutsch is author of "100 under $100, 100 tools for empowering global women". She's got great ideas we can all afford.
Finian Makepeace made it to the quarter finals of "America's Got Talent" with his brother Kieran. Finian has also sung out for climate action at rallies. Here he performs his dream of darkness and light "2060".
