Speaking in Sydney, Australia, Pappé lays out some of the sordid history of Israel's claim to be a "democracy" while simultaneously building and enforcing a racist apartheid structure. "The Forgotten Palestinians" are Palestinians who managed to remain within Israel's official borders in the course of the Nakba. They became Israeli citizens. But essentially they enjoy no rights and are confronted by a deeply prejudicial system of laws and treatment.

The most effective way to challenge the distortions, myths and outright lies of the Israeli narrative which drives American Policy is to present the historical, documented facts which we describe as the Palestinian narrative. This Week In Palestine systematically tries to present that narrative each week, well researched, well documented history, and the analysis and opinion which flows from that history. And no one is more reliable in the presentation of that narrative than New Historian, Ilan Pappé. That is why we feature him so often on this program, and why we do so again this week.
