In November of 2015 there was a conference at Boston University sponsored by Students for a Just Peace in Palestine that featured Norman Finkelstein and Mouin Rabbani, who have co-authored this book together, and who both spoke at the conference. Unfortunately we cannot offer both presentations in one broadcast…time will not permit, but we want you to hear both scholars, so we'll have Rabbani this week and Finkelstein next week…it is the only way we can do it.

According to Wikipedia: "Mouin Rabbani is a Dutch-Palestinian Middle East analyst specializing in the Arab-Israeli conflict and Palestinian affairs. Rabbani is based in Amman, Jordan and was a Senior Analyst for the International Crisis Group, the Palestine Director of the Palestine American Research Center, a Project Director for the Association of Netherlands Municipalities, and a volunteer and General Editor for Al Haq. Rabbani is currently a senior fellow at the Institute for Palestine Studies, a co-editor of Jadaliyya, and a Contributing Editor to the Middle East Report."

Rabbani is introduced briefly by Norman Finkelstein. We present him in two parts. Despite his Palestine background and apparent awareness of what's going on, Rabbani does not hesitate to criticize the tactics (or lack of them) currently adopted by PA and Hamas leaders respectively, seeming to blame them (rather than Israel/US intransigence) for failing to earn proper UN recognition of their victimhood.
This Week In Palestine (a weekly part of Truth and Justice Radio) is an award-winning three-quarter-hour segment of news from Palestine and discussion of issues relevant to the Palestinians' struggle for freedom from Israel's brutal military occupation and colonization of their homeland. It speaks from the point of view of Palestinians and those who care about them. It's a regular part of Truth and Justice Radio, aired Sundays 6-10am ET on WZBC 90.3FM, Newton, MA, streaming and archived for two weeks at wzbc.org; TJR's website, truthandjusticeradio.org, has a link to This Week In Palestine archives back thru 1-6-2008; earlier editions are obtainable from radio4all.net or by navigating through our playlists. (At this important time, TJR has been airing a lot of Palestine coverage IN ADDITION to that provided by This Week In Palestine.) We hope you'll write to us at stanrob@world.oberlin.edu if you rebroadcast our work, or have questions or comments.
