Your support is essential if the service is to continue, there are bandwidth bills to pay every month and failing disk drives to replace. This week Back in the USSR focuses on the concept of socialist justice and how the law and legal systems function in socialist societies. In particular I will focus on the importance of criminalizing the exploitation of human beings and how foundational this is to revolutionary change and the empowerment of working class people. I will look at examples from Cuba, the Soviet Union, Burkina Faso and other socialist societies, and discuss my own ideas from my book Proletarian God: Building the Socialist Future, concerning how the judicial systems of future socialist societies will function.
Music by Amir Sulaiman, Public Enemy, Civilization IV, and Killing Joke.
Due to technical difficulties, Back in the USSR is only one hour long this week.
