Over the last year or so Ian Dumbrell has been into the Dialect studio describing his life caught in the trap of homelessness. No home, no job. No job, no home and even though he had plenty of savings, a one third share in his late mothers home not a single landlord would rent to him because he didnt have a reliable job. Landlords now pretty much always refuse to rent to anyone on benefits. But the good news is after 15 months of trying, and a letter from his doctor explaining that his leg may have had to be amputated if he was forced to stay sleeping in his car, Ian now has somewhere to live in Cadbury Heath care of South Gloucestershire Councils Home Choice scheme.
Donald Trump special: Because Hillary Clinton is so tainted and has got the Democratic Party nomination fraudulently it looks like Donald Trump will be the next US president. Sonia Mourne from Bristol gives us her view of Trump followed by Susan Lindauer a former CIA whistleblower from the US. Both support Trump against Clinton, like the US public.
Andy Richards from Portishead talks about the landmark Bristol Nautical School and the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers or REME.
Linda Beamish is an environmental campaigner from Norfolk whos realised her local authority are not interested in any real sustainability, its all just words.
Why don’t they want a sustainable future? A = Because then we would all be free people! No longer their commodities!
The central lesson I learned from this experience, was that doing the right thing doesnt pay - and there really is no justice, or access to it, since Lord Freud MP axed free Legal Aid.
