Please note that the Radio4All website will be moving over to new server hardware on August 2nd starting at 10 AM Pacific/1PM Eastern. The work should last two to three hours. During that time, the server will be offline.
Welcome to the new Radio4all website! If you cannot log in, you may need to reset your password. Email here if you need additional support.
Your support is essential if the service is to continue, there are bandwidth bills to pay every month and failing disk drives to replace. Volunteers do the work, but disk drives and bandwidth are not free. We encourage you to contribute financially, even a dollar helps. Click here to donate.Welcome to the new Radio4all website! With Trump and Sanders, or new parties in Europe, this 2008 speech by California activist Tom Hayden is important. Hayden was a founder of Students for a Democratic Society in the 60's, was one of the Chicago Seven, and with his wife Jane Fonda was an early environmental activist. I recorded this speech at the University of British Columbia in 2008, following student protests there.
Recorded June 3, 2008 by Alex Smith. Originally played on "The Brown Bagger" radio show, CFRO Vancouver. New to Radio Ecoshock. Re-mastered from the original recording.
Break and re-intro at exactly 30 minutes, for stations needing to insert station ID or announcements.
There are undercurrents of new movements in many countries. When and how does social change arise? On July 3rd, 2008 I recorded this speech by legendary American activist Tom Hayden. The speech was broadcast in Vancouver, but this is it's first appearance on Radio Ecoshock. I call it "Birth of a Movement".
